New catalyst aims to clean up particulates from heavy diesels
Catalyst manufacturer Johnson Matthey has launched a novel system to remove over 90% of particulate emissions from the exhausts of diesel-powered buses and heavy goods vehicles (HGVs). The Government has started to make positive noises about the merits of diesel catalysts - but Johnson Matthey says that financial incentives are needed to persuade bus operators to fork out for the technology.
