All clear for £32 million clean-up at ICI Runcorn
In a vote of confidence in its troubled chlorchemicals business, ICI Chemicals & Polymers has sanctioned a £32 million investment in effluent treatment and incineration at its Runcorn site on Merseyside. But further major investments will be needed in water pollution prevention measures and to tackle a legacy of groundwater pollution.
