New waste minimisation schemes planned by DTI

Feasibility studies for eight new regional waste minimisation clubs are being sponsored by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). The ventures will build on the success of two pioneering schemes in Yorkshire and Merseyside - but the DTI is expected to look to business to pay much more of the project costs.
