Delays in UK safety approval give German fridge firms the lead

Major German refrigerator manufactureres are now converting the majority of their ranges to run on propane/butane refrigerants in order to bypass the use of CFCs and HFCs. But British firms blame delays in drawing up a British safety approval standard for holding them back from commercialising the technology.
