Dismissive response to energy efficiency report

The Government has given little ground in its response to a report on energy efficiency in buildings by the House of Commons Environment Committee. It has failed to show how the Energy Saving Trust (EST) will raise sufficient funds to make its planned contribution to the UK's climate change strategy, and rejected several key recommendations for increasing investments in energy efficiency by households and in combined heat and power.¹
