    eliminated the use of ozone depleting methyl chloroform from its manufacturing processes worldwide by the end of 1993, ahead of the Montreal Protocol deadline of 1996. Substitutes developed in the course of the phase-out include aqueous solutions and organic and inorganic solvents.
