HMIP sounds safety warning over Sellafield job cuts

British Nuclear Fuels (BNFL) has come under fire from both of the Government watchdogs responsible for the safety of its site at Sellafield, Cumbria. HM Inspectorate of Pollution (HMIP) and the Nuclear Installations Inspectorate (NII) have expressed strong concern that plans to reduce the workforce by one-third could seriously affect the safety of the site - so far to little avail.
