MoD builds ammunition incinerator

The UK's first incinerator for redundant explosives and ammunition is due to be commissioned by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) this summer. The facility at Shoeburyness in Essex will not be able to dispose of the full waste arisings, and the MoD is looking for a commercial partner to build a plant to recover and recycle explosives.
