Moves to ease monitoring regime for Part B processes

Reduced requirements for monitoring of emissions from processes under local authority air pollution control (LAAPC) have been proposed by the Department of the Environment (DoE).1 Operators able to demonstrate "consistent compliance" with emission limits may need to carry out only indicative monitoring. However, the DoE may require new stacks to be fitted to processes releasing particulates at a low level.
