"Grossly negligent" food company fined for major pollution incident

Frozen food processor Christian Salvesen has been found guilty of causing a water pollution incident which threatened public water supplies and killed thousands of fish. The magistrate concluded that the company was "grossly negligent in failing to protect the environment" and ordered it to pay £16,600 in fines and costs.
