Lincolnshire tanneries' insecure waste arrangements

A Lincolnshire tannery has been prosecuted by Anglian Water for the third time in four years after breaching metal limits in its trade effluent discharge. But both this and a neighbouring tannery have escaped prosecution under the "duty of care" for employing a contractor who dumped their wastes illegally.
