Leather industry set to escape regulation under IPC

A new draft guidance note on leather processes from HM Inspectorate of Pollution (HMIP) may have been made redundant by recent legal changes which seem set to exclude all such processes from the scope of integrated pollution control (IPC). HMIP has also produced a second draft of its IPC guide for tar and bitumen processes.1
