Tory councillor fined for dumping dangerous waste

A member of Lincolnshire County Council has been prosecuted successfully by the council's own waste regulators for her part in an incident in which veterinary medical wastes were dumped and burned illegally. Ironically, such prosecutions may soon no longer be possible unless the law is amended to bring hazardous agricultural wastes under explicit control.
