Studies raise concern over persistence of common herbicide
Two recent studies of atrazine, one of the most widely used herbicides, have found it to be surprisingly persistent in groundwaters and lakes. Although non-agricultural uses of atrazine are now banned in the UK, the results suggest that approved uses may still pose an environmental hazard.
