Apparent decline in hazardous waste imports

Hazardous waste imports into the UK appear to have declined in recent months, figures given in a parliamentary answer by Environment Minister David Maclean suggest.1

The statistics given by Mr Maclean covered three separate periods since the beginning of 1992. They are compared below with data for an earlier period presented in the latest annual report of HM Inspectorate of Pollution (HMIP).
