Tribunal mooted to hear disputes on environmental information

The Government is considering the establishment of a tribunal to hear appeals relating to the refusal of public bodies to disclose environmental information. Its White Paper on open government, issued on 15 July, also promised a new statutory right of access to information on health and safety held by public bodies.1
