EC emissions register goes off the boil

The European Commission's plans for a statutory Polluting Emissions Register (PER) have been put on the back-burner in favour of voluntary disclosure agreements with industry. The European chemical industry's federation, CEFIC, is the first in line to discuss the subject with the Commission this autumn.
