UK stays ahead of EC targets for acid gas emissions
Emissions of sulphur and nitrogen oxides from large combustion plant in the UK showed only a modest decline in 1992, according to figures from the Department of the Environment (DoE). But the UK remains well ahead of schedule to meet EC targets for both pollutants.
