Decline in oil spills around UK
Oil pollution incidents around the UK coast declined for the second year in succession in 1992, according to a survey by the Advisory Committee on Protection of the Sea (ACOPS). The biggest cause of the improvement was a reduction in spills from offshore oil platforms.
