Leigh told to take IPC dispute to Secretary of State
A bid by waste management business Leigh Environmental to have the courts review four integrated pollution control (IPC) authorisations has been put on ice by the High Court. The issues at stake, which are important for IPC in general, will now have to be resolved in appeals to the Secretary of State unless Leigh can reach a negotiated settlement with HM Inspectorate of Pollution (HMIP).
