A building company has been fined £1,500 for contravening the "duty of care" by describing the contents of a skip containing paint waste as "builders' rubble". Although the verdict underlines the need for waste producers to provide full descriptions of their waste, the defence appears to have overlooked flaws in the prosecution's case.
