Review aims at speeding up eco-labelling process
A review of the EC guidelines for drawing up eco-labelling criteria has been launched in an attempt to overcome the delays which have dogged efforts to develop criteria for new product groups. Data collection, funding mechanisms, consultation procedures and the inclusion of animal testing and other "non-environmental" parameters are among the issues waiting to be resolved.
