Bathing water compliance levels off
The quality of the UK's bathing waters showed little improvement in 1993, according to statistics released in a parliamentary answer by Environment Minister Tim Yeo on 1 December. The slow-down has put in doubt the achievement of the Government's goal of bringing all but a handful of bathing waters up to EC standards by 1995.
