Water laws for Northern Ireland, but other legislation delayed

Draft legislation to bring Northern Ireland's laws on drinking water and water pollution more into line with the rest of the UK and implement several EC Directives finally entered Parliament in December. But a parliamentary inquiry has revealed that other commitments on environmental legislation for Northern Ireland are running well behind schedule.
