Consumers willing to recycle, but want facilities, incentives

A market research report by Mintel on recycling1 has found that most consumers are willing to take recyclables to collection points - but are restricted by a lack of facilities.

Mintel's findings are based on a survey of 1,000 adults last May and an analysis of recycling in the UK. This was based partly on a Friends of the Earth survey which highlighted the lack of collection facilities for recyclables and the financial constraints on local authorities in providing them (ENDS Report 198, pp 11-12).
