Dioxin levels in food extremely low, claims MAFF

Average human intakes of dioxins from food in the UK are less than a quarter of the recently relaxed World Health Organization (WHO) tolerable level, according to a report by the Ministry of Agriculture (MAFF).1 But the dioxin debate is unlikely to end here. Intakes by breastfeeding infants exceed the WHO tolerable level by a factor of ten.
