IPC guidance notes for fuel and power processes

Guidance notes laying down environmental standards for 16 processes in the fuel and power sector which come under integrated pollution control (IPC) on 1 April were issued by HM Inspectorate of Pollution (HMIP) on 4 February.1

The guidance notes were issued four months beyond the original October 1991 deadline. However, since operators have until 30 June to submit applications for authorisation, the delay should not cause serious problems for the completion of applications.
