Government responds to MPs' report on landfills

The official response to a report by the House of Commons Environment Committee on the proposed EC Directive on landfill has added little to what was already known of the Government's negotiating position on the Directive.1

The report was published last September (ENDS Report 200, pp 27-8). It followed the Committee's first-ever inquiry into an EC legislative proposal.
