Water pollution caused by British Steel's faulty procedures
British Steel has been prosecuted for its third water pollution offence since last July. The company was fined £2,000 after pleading guilty to polluting a stream with machine tool lubricant from its pipe mill at Seaton Carew, near Hartlepool.
