  • All petrol-engine Vauxhall cars made after September will have catalytic converters fitted as standard, Vauxhall Motors, the General Motors
    subsidiary, has announced. The company claims that it is the first UK-based manufacturer to make this commitment, but all new cars registered after the end of the year will have to be fitted with converters.
