    has announced that its wet air oxidation plant will be commissioned in June (ENDS Report 197, p 11). Trials are currently under way to test the suitability of customers' waste. The £3 million plant in Small Heath, Birmingham, will be capable of treating some 50,000 tonnes per year of difficult aqueous organic wastes, the company claims, mainly from the pesticide, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
