Many households lack basic energy efficiency measures

Large numbers of British homes continue to lack the most rudimentary energy conservation measures, according to statistics given in a parliamentary answer by junior Environment Minister Tony Baldry.1

The figures below are for Britain. They help to underline why environmental organisations believe the Government needs to do more to promote investments in energy efficiency in order to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and other environmental impacts associated with energy supply.
