Brussels criticises lack of NO<SUB>2</SUB> monitoring in UK

The number of monitoring stations for nitrogen dioxide operated by the UK does not satisfy EC legal requirements, according to the European Commission. New legislation is being prepared to ensure that monitoring is carried out consistently by all Member States.
