First report from chemicals advisory group

The first report of the Department of the Environment's Advisory Committee on Hazardous Substances (ACHS) was published in December.1 It reveals that the ACHS wants the control of chemical hazards to the environment to be based on life-cycle analyses of dangerous substances and their potential replacements.
