European environmentalists agree packaging agenda

Fifty-five European non-governmental organisations (NGOs) meeting in Amsterdam have established a common campaign agenda on packaging issues for 1993. High on their list are waste prevention and minimisation, the reintroduction of refill systems in Western Europe, and opposition to the introduction of one-way packaging in Eastern Europe.
