DEFRA permanent secretary Clare Moriarty is leaving the department to take up the same position at the Department for Exiting the European Union at the end of the month, it has been announced

DEFRA permanent secretary Clare Moriarty is leaving the department to take up the same position at the Department for Exiting the European Union at the end of the month, it has been announced.

Moriarty will take the place of Philip Rycroft who is retiring from the Civil Service and will herself be temporarily replaced by Tamara Finkelstein, who will take up the role of interim permanent secretary at DEFRA.
