Environment Agency to amend dozens of standard rules

The Environment Agency (EA) has chosen to go ahead with proposed changes to a wide range of standard rules available under the Environmental Permitting Regulations.

Yesterday’s announcement follows last year’s consultation on 31 standard rules, generic risk assessments and waste management plans for water discharges, materials recovery and recycling, waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), storage of electrical insulating oils, metal recovery, onshore oil and gas exploration and mining.
