Greenpeace in legal challenge to THORP go-ahead

Ministers have dismissed calls for a public inquiry into the economic and environmental justification for THORP, and dismissed concerns that it may increase the risk of nuclear weapons proliferation. Greenpeace and Lancashire County Council are to seek a judicial review of the decision in a final attempt to block the plant.
