Bird kill licence holders must log evidence of damage

Users of Natural England’s new bird control licences must keep a log of the damage caused by birds and any non-lethal efforts made to tackle the problem, so they can provide evidence to the police that they are using the licences within the law, Natural England has said.

In an updated position statement, published on Friday, the wildlife regulator said any licence holder under the scheme should be able to demonstrate that they are complying with the terms and conditions of the new licences.
