Dutch plant shows the way on tyre recycling

A 95,000 tonnes per year tyre incineration plant in Wolverhampton was commissioned last month by Elm Energy, and the company is looking to build two similar facilities in Britain. But experience with a tyre recycling plant in operation in the Netherlands since 1987 suggests that in energy terms the most efficient recovery route is material recycling.
