Waste bosses guilty of abandoning 2,000 tonnes of rotting waste

Three waste bosses have been found guilty of major permitting failures which led to thousands of tonnes of rotten waste being stockpiled and deserted.

Two directors from Rowanoak Waste Services, Kevin Allan and Randle Hawkins, and company director Brian McIntosh from Mak Waste Ltd, were convicted last week in Wolverhampton Crown Court for their failure to comply with permit conditions and enforcement notices contrary to the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010.
