New water fine - total payout £350,000

An unpermitted discharge from Northumbrian Water’s Crook Beck combined sewer outfall has led to the firm making a £350,000 enforcement undertaking payout. The Durham Wildlife Trust, Wear Rivers Trust, Marine Conservation Society, Tees Rivers Trust and Tees Valley Wildlife Trust each received £70,000.
