DEFRA rejects challenge to post-Brexit chemicals regulation

The government has defended its plans for a post-Brexit chemicals regulation system against allegations that it restricts participation from experts and civil society.

Responding to a legal letter from campaigners CHEM Trust, DEFRA has denied that its controversial statutory instrument setting out a UK replacement for REACH would undermine health and environmental protections.
