Southern Water tenders £15m environmental risks contract

The water company that received a record £126m penalty from Ofwat for dodging self-reporting obligations is searching for consultants to help it assess and manage risks to the environment from its assets.

Southern Water is also under investigation by the Environment Agency (EA), which recently declared that England’s water firms urgently need to “clean up their act” if they are to meet water pollution targets.
