Plans for 10 UK EfW plants revealed

A group of companies has announced plans for 10 new energy-from-waste (EfW) facilities to be built across the UK in addition to one already in progress.

EfW technology developer PowerHouse Energy, facility operator Peel Environmental and consultancy Waste2Tricity made the announcement in an emailed statement issued today.

According to the statement, the facilities will use PowerHouse’s distributed modular gasification (DMG) technology, which is the basis for a plastic-to-hydrogen facility.
