How councils are trying to slash glyphosate use

A Merseyside council received heavy criticism after it announced it had sprayed a beach with weedkiller glyphosate, but like other authorities it is seeking to phase out the use of the herbicide. Simon Pickstone reports

Wirral Council found itself in hot water in August after announcing on Twitter that it had sprayed a beach within a special area of conservation with the controversial weedkiller glyphosate.
