Sea level rise could displace a quarter of a billion people by 2100, warns leaked UN report

The impacts of climate change could be more dramatic and arrive sooner than predicted, with flood damages increasing by up to 1000 fold, warns a leaked UN report.

A draft summary of the Special Report on the Ocean and Cryosphere in a Changing Climate - due to be published at the end of September - has been seen by French news agency AFP.
