‘Riddled with inaccuracies’: Government advisers slam 25-Year Environment Plan progress

The government’s progress on implementing its flagship environment plan has been slammed by its natural capital advisers.

The environment plan, published in January 2018, is the government’s attempt to reverse the ongoing collapse seen in England’s biodiversity. 

In May this year, DEFRA published a progress report in which it claimed it was making good headway on the plan, with four out of 40 objectives delivered and 32 objectives on schedule.
