New and revised standard permits to ease withdrawal of waste exemptions

Without the action, operators of some common waste activities would have to fall back on expensive bespoke permits, which the EA has judged would be overkill.

The EA’s proposals are part of the detailed implementation of plans to reduce crime in the waste industry, which were consulted on last year.
