Thames Water puts £700m in construction contracts out to tender

Thames Water has released details of new construction programmes relating to its water network and treatment plants estimated to be worth £700m.

The first lot covers £360m in non-infrastructure work relating to replacing, refurbishing and installing assets to treat ground and surface water for consumption as well as wastewater. 

The second, worth £340m, relates to Thames Water’s water infrastructure, covering programmes to replace and install trunk mains, inspect and maintain aqueducts, bridges and tunnels, and ensure water pressure within the network remains within acceptable limits.
